Getting There

  • Train

    From Kyoto Station, take the JR Special Rapid Service to Osaka Station (approximately 30 minutes). Once at Osaka Station, transfer to the Osaka Loop Line and take the train to Osakajokoen Station (about 10 minutes). After arriving at Osakajokoen Station, exit the station and walk towards the Osaka Castle area, which should take around 10-15 minutes.

  • Subway

    At Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Subway Line (green line) towards Takeda. Change at Karasuma Oike Station to the Tozai Line (light blue line) and head towards Nagahoribashi. Alight at Nishi Umeda Station and transfer to the Osaka Loop Line. Get off at Osakajokoen Station and walk approximately 10-15 minutes to Nishinomaru Garden.

  • Bus

    From Kyoto Station, take the Kyoto City Bus number 205 or 17 heading towards Osaka. Make sure to check the bus schedule as it varies throughout the day. Get off at the Osaka Castle Park stop, and from there, it's a short walk to Nishinomaru Garden, which is located within the park.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental stations near Kyoto Station. Head south towards the Kamo River and follow the river west to the Yodo River. Then, cycle towards Osaka Castle (approximately 1 hour). Upon reaching Osaka Castle, follow the signs to Nishinomaru Garden.
