Getting There

From Kyoto Station, take the JR Nara Line towards Nara. The journey takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Nara Station, exit the station and head towards the bus terminal located directly outside the station.

At Nara Station, take the Nara Kotsu Bus #2 or #4 towards Todai-ji Daibutsuden. The bus ride takes approximately 10 minutes. Get off at the Todai-ji Daibutsuden stop. From there, follow the signs to Todai-ji Hokkedo, which is about a 5-minute walk.

If you prefer walking from Nara Station, exit the station and head south on Sanjo Street. Continue straight until you reach the Nara Park. Walk through the park, enjoying the sights of deer roaming freely. Once you reach the Todai-ji Daibutsuden (Great Buddha Hall), follow the path to the left to find Todai-ji Hokkedo, approximately a 20-minute walk from the station.
