    Getting There

    Train

    From Kyoto Station, take the JR Nara Line towards Nara. The journey takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Nara Station, exit the station and head towards the bus stop outside the main entrance.

    Bus

    At Nara Station, take bus number 97 or 70 towards Todai-ji Daibutsuden. The bus ride takes approximately 10 minutes. Get off at the Todai-ji Daibutsuden bus stop.

    Walking

    After getting off the bus at Todai-ji Daibutsuden stop, walk towards the large entrance gate (Nandaimon) of Todai-ji. From the gate, you will see the famous Great Buddha Hall (Daibutsuden) directly ahead. The Nigatsu-do hall is located to the left of the Great Buddha Hall, just a short walk up the hill.
