Discover more about Shinsekaiinari Shrine

Shinsekaiinari Shrine, though small, provides a tranquil contrast to the lively Shinsekai district. As an Inari shrine, it is dedicated to Inari, the kami (deity) of rice, fertility, business prosperity, and household well-being. Inari shrines are easily recognized by their vermilion torii gates. Passing through the torii gate, visitors will find a stone roulette used for fortune telling. Spin the roulette to receive a number, and then read the corresponding fortune from a nearby board. While not as prominent as other attractions in Shinsekai, Shinsekaiinari Shrine offers a moment of quiet reflection and a chance to experience a traditional aspect of Japanese culture. It's a place where locals and tourists alike can take a break from the surrounding excitement and appreciate the simple beauty of a neighborhood shrine.
