If you're driving to Kappa Pool from central Tohoku, start by getting onto the Tōhoku Expressway (東北自動車道) and head towards Tōno City. Take the exit for Tōno (遠野) and follow Route 283. Continue on Route 283 for about 14 kilometers, and then turn onto Route 45. After approximately 7 kilometers, follow the signs for Kappa Pool.
