From the center of Hachimantai, take Route 282 heading south. Follow this road for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the entrance to Mount Iwate National Park. Parking is available at designated areas near the trailheads, and there may be a parking fee of around 500 yen.

For those using public transportation, start your journey by taking a shinkansen (bullet train) to Morioka Station. From Morioka, transfer to the Iwate Galaxy Railway and take a train to Hachimantai Station. The train ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Hachimantai Station, you can take a local bus (Hachimantai City Community Bus) that goes towards Mount Iwate. Confirm the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited, especially during off-peak seasons.
