If you are driving, take the Tohoku Expressway towards Morioka. Exit at Tono IC and follow Route 283 towards Tōno City. Continue on Route 283 for about 15 minutes, then turn left onto Higashidatecho. The Tono City Museum will be on your right at 3-9 Higashidatecho. Parking is available nearby.

For those using public transportation, take the Tohoku Shinkansen from Tokyo or Sendai to Morioka Station. From Morioka Station, transfer to the Sanriku Railway and take the train to Tōno Station. The train ride takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Tōno Station, it is approximately a 10-minute walk to Tono City Museum. Head southwest on Route 283, then turn left onto Higashidatecho. The museum will be on your right at 3-9 Higashidatecho.
