From the center of Independence, KS, head north on US-75 N. Merge onto I-70 W toward Topeka. Take exit 199 for US-73 N toward Atchison. Continue on US-73 N for about 20 miles. Take the exit for KS-7 N toward Atchison. After approximately 5 miles, take a left onto 314th Rd. The Independence Creek: Lewis and Clark historical site will be on your left at 19918 314th Rd, Atchison, KS 66002. There is a parking lot available at the site.
