Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving from Moshi, head south on B1 towards Marangu. Continue on B1 for about 30 kilometers until you reach Marangu village. Once in Marangu, follow the signs for Marangu Waterfall. You will need to park your car at the designated parking area near the entrance to the waterfall trail.

  • Public Transportation

    To get to Marangu Waterfall via public transport from Moshi, take a daladala (shared minibus) from Moshi to Marangu. The fare is approximately 1,500 TZS. Once you arrive in Marangu, ask the driver to drop you off at the Marangu Waterfall trailhead. From there, it is a short walk to the entrance of the waterfall trail. Ensure to follow the signs to find your way.

  • Hiking

    Once you reach the Marangu Waterfall, begin your hike. The trail is well-marked and takes about an hour to reach the waterfall. Bring water and wear comfortable hiking shoes.
