Car
From Bishkek, head east on the A365 road towards Issyk-Kul Lake. Continue for about 40 km until you reach the town of Kegeti. From Kegeti, take the road leading into Kegeti Gorge. Follow this road for approximately 15 km, which will lead you closer to Kol-Tor Lake. You will need to park at the trailhead, as the road does not extend all the way to the lake. The parking area is typically marked. The hike to Kol-Tor Lake from the parking area takes about 4 hours and offers stunning views along the way.

Take a marshrutka (shared minibus) from Bishkek to the town of Kegeti. Marshrutkas leave from the Western Bus Station in Bishkek, and the journey to Kegeti takes about 1-1.5 hours. Upon arriving in Kegeti, you will need to hire a taxi or find a local guide to take you to the entrance of Kegeti Gorge. Expect to pay around 200-300 KGS for the taxi.
