Getting There

  If you are in the center of Butha Buthe, head southeast towards the main road (Mokhotlong Road). Walk along Mokhotlong Road for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with the road leading to the Butha Buthe River. Turn left and follow the road for another 5 minutes. You will see the river on your right.

  From the center of Butha Buthe, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops. Head east along Mokhotlong Road for approximately 2 kilometers. As you approach the bridge over the Butha Buthe River, slow down and enjoy the scenic views. The riverbank is accessible just after the bridge on your right.

• Public Transport (Taxi)

  Find a local taxi (also known as a 'kombis' or shared taxi) at the designated taxi rank in Butha Buthe. Inform the driver that you want to go to the Butha Buthe River. The taxi will navigate through the local streets and drop you off near the river. The ride typically takes around 10 minutes, depending on traffic.

• Hiking

  For those who enjoy hiking, start from the center of Butha Buthe and take the trail heading northeast towards the hills. Follow the path for about 30 minutes until you see a viewpoint that overlooks the Butha Buthe River. From here, you can descend towards the riverbank, enjoying the natural beauty along the way.
