    If you are in the French Quarter, the New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park is easily accessible on foot. Start at Jackson Square, which is a central landmark. From Jackson Square, head northwest on Chartres Street. After about two blocks, take a left onto Decatur Street. Continue walking for about three blocks, and you will see the park entrance at 419 Decatur St on your right.

  • Streetcar

    To reach the New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park from the Garden District, take the St. Charles Avenue streetcar. Board the streetcar at any streetcar stop along St. Charles Avenue heading towards the French Quarter. Ride the streetcar until you reach Canal Street. Transfer to the Riverfront streetcar by walking to the stop located at the foot of Canal Street near the Mississippi River. Board the Riverfront streetcar and ride it downriver until you reach the stop at Decatur Street. Disembark, and the park will be directly across the street at 419 Decatur St.

  • Public Bus

    From the Central Business District, you can take the RTA bus #5 (Esplanade) from the stop at Poydras Street and St. Charles Avenue. Ride the bus for about 10 stops until you reach the stop at Decatur Street. After getting off, walk a few steps back toward the river, and you will see the New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park at 419 Decatur St.
