    From the main entrance of Acadia National Park at the Hulls Cove Visitor Center, head south on Route 3. Continue walking for about 1.5 miles until you reach the intersection with the Eagle Lake Road. Turn left onto Eagle Lake Road and follow it until you reach the junction with the Park Loop Road, which will be approximately 0.5 miles. Continue straight onto the Park Loop Road, walking alongside the beautiful views of the park. After about 1 mile, you will reach the junction with Route 198. Turn right onto Route 198 and continue for about 1.8 miles. Finally, turn left onto South Shore Road, and Yourcenar House will be located on your right at 35 South Shore Road, Northeast Harbor.

    From Bar Harbor, take the Island Explorer Bus (Route 5) towards Northeast Harbor. The bus will have stops along the way, so make sure to stay on until you reach the Northeast Harbor stop. Once you disembark, walk south on Main Street until you reach South Shore Road. Turn left onto South Shore Road and walk for approximately 0.5 miles. Yourcenar House will be on your left at 35 South Shore Road. Check the Island Explorer schedule for bus times to ensure a smooth trip.
