Getting There

• Walking

  Start at the Kota Kinabalu City Centre, which is a popular area for tourists with many shops and restaurants. Head west on Jalan Tun Fuad Stephens towards Jalan Gaya. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Jalan Kampung Tanjung Aru Baru. Turn right onto Jalan Kampung Tanjung Aru Baru. Follow the road as it curves and you will eventually see signage directing you towards Kampung Tanjung Aru Lama. Keep walking straight until you reach the Sunset viewpoint, which is located near the coastline.

• Public Transport

  From the Kota Kinabalu City Centre, head to the nearest bus stop. Look for a bus heading towards Tanjung Aru. You can ask locals or check with your hotel for the exact bus number. Once on the bus, inform the driver that you want to stop at Kampung Tanjung Aru Lama. After you get off, walk towards the coast and look for the signs indicating the Sunset viewpoint. It should be a short walk from the bus stop.

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can use a local taxi or a ride-hailing service like Grab.
