Getting There

    If you are traveling by car, navigate to Piney Point Lighthouse Museum & Historic Park at 44720 Lighthouse Rd, Piney Point, MD 20674. From the center of the Patuxent River Region, take Route 4 South towards Lexington Park. Continue on Route 4 for approximately 5 miles and then take the exit toward Route 5 South. Follow Route 5 for about 7 miles until you reach Piney Point Road. Turn right onto Piney Point Road, and after about 2 miles, turn left onto Lighthouse Road. The museum will be on your right. There is free parking available on-site.

  • Public Transportation

    If you prefer public transportation, take the St. Mary's County Transit (SMCT) bus service. Board the bus at any local stop and take the Route 1 bus towards Leonardtown. Get off at the Leonardtown Town Square stop and transfer to the Route 2 bus towards Great Mills. Once you reach the Great Mills stop, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile to Lighthouse Road. Head south on Great Mills Road, then turn onto Lighthouse Road. The park is located about 0.5 miles down Lighthouse Road on your left.
