From Rockville Metro Station, take the Ride On Bus #47 towards Cabin John Park. Stay on the bus for about 25 minutes. You will pass several stops including Parkside and Cabin John Shopping Center. Get off at the Cabin John Park stop. From there, walk about 10 minutes south along MacArthur Blvd until you reach the entrance to Lock 8, which is located along the C&O Canal.
