Getting There

• Metro

  From Rockville Metro Station, take the Red Line train toward Glenmont. Stay on the train for 12 stops, approximately 30 minutes. You will arrive at the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro Station. Transfer to the Yellow Line train toward Greenbelt. Ride for 2 stops until you reach the Gallery Place-Chinatown station. From there, walk to the National Society United States Daughters of 1812 Museum by heading southeast on 7th St NW toward D St NW, then turn left onto D St NW and walk until you reach Rhode Island Ave NW. Turn right and walk a short distance to the museum at 1463 Rhode Island Ave NW.

• Bus

  From the Rockville Town Center, catch the Ride On Bus Route 46 toward the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro Station. Ride for about 25 minutes and get off at the Rockville Pike & Montrose Rd stop. From there, transfer to the Metrobus Route J2 heading toward the Silver Spring Metro Station. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at the R.I. Ave & 14th St NW stop. Walk 5 minutes east on Rhode Island Ave NW, and you will arrive at the museum located at 1463 Rhode Island Ave NW.

• Walking

  If you're near Rockville Town Center, you can walk to the National Society United States Daughters of 1812 Museum. Start at the Town Square and head south on Maryland Ave toward East Montgomery Ave. Continue straight to stay on East Montgomery Ave, then turn left onto Hungerford Dr. Walk until you reach the Rockville Metro Station. From there, you can take the Metro as mentioned above or continue walking. If walking, head toward the DC area via the Rock Creek Park Trail, which connects to bike lanes leading toward downtown Washington. It will take approximately 1.5 hours to walk to the museum.
