From Waldorf, head to the nearest bus stop and catch the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) Route 30 bus towards Washington D.C. Get off at the 'Prince Frederick and Crain Hwy' stop. From there, transfer to the Metrobus Route 11 towards Old Town Alexandria. Once you reach the 'King St + Union St' stop, you will be in Old Town Alexandria. Exit the bus and walk east on King Street for about 0.5 miles until you reach Oronoco Street. Turn left on Oronoco Street, and you will find the Potts-Fitzhugh House at 607 Oronoco St on your right.

If you are staying near the Waldorf Marketplace, you can walk to the nearest bus stop located at the marketplace. Catch the MTA Route 30 bus towards Washington D.C. and follow the above directions. Alternatively, if you prefer to walk directly from the marketplace, head east on Crain Highway, then turn left onto Old Washington Road. Continue until you reach Route 1, then head north until you reach King Street in Alexandria. Walk along King Street until you reach Oronoco Street, then turn left. The Potts-Fitzhugh House will be on your right.
