Walking
If you are already in Marina Vallarta, the best way to reach Isla Iguana is by walking. Start at the Marina Vallarta shopping mall, which is a central location. Head towards the marina promenade, taking in the beautiful views of the water. Continue walking along the promenade towards the north. After about 15-20 minutes, you will reach the end of the marina where you will see a small pier. From here, you can take a water taxi to Isla Iguana. The water taxi costs approximately 100-150 MXN round trip. Make sure to check the schedule as the last boats may depart in the early evening.
Taxi
You can also opt for a taxi to get to the nearest dock for Isla Iguana. Simply hail a taxi from anywhere in Marina Vallarta and tell the driver you want to go to the 'Puerto de los Muertos' dock. The fare should be around 80-100 MXN, depending on your exact starting point. Once at the dock, you can take a water taxi to Isla Iguana, which will cost around 100-150 MXN round trip. Again, be mindful of the last departure times for the water taxis.
Bicycle Rental
For a more adventurous route, consider renting a bicycle. Many rental shops are available in Marina Vallarta. Once you have your bike, head towards the marina promenade and ride north. It's a scenic ride that takes about 20-30 minutes until you reach the end of the marina. Look for the pier where you can catch a water taxi to Isla Iguana. The taxi ride will cost around 100-150 MXN for a round trip.
