Getting There

    From the center of Tulum, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops. Head north on Avenida Tulum until you reach the intersection with Avenida Cobá. Turn left on Avenida Cobá and continue until you reach the highway (Carretera Tulum-Cancún). Turn right onto the highway and follow the signs for Akumal. After about 20 minutes, you will see signs for Yal-Ku Cenote. Follow the signs to Calle Acceso Etapa H Lote 5, where the entrance is located.

    From the central bus station in Tulum, find a collective taxi (shared taxi) heading to Akumal. The taxis usually leave as they fill up, so be prepared for a short wait. The ride should take about 20-30 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at Calle Acceso Etapa H Lote 5 in Akumal, where Yal-Ku Cenote is located. Once you arrive, look for the entrance signs leading to the cenote.
