Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start from the center of Valles Centrales and head towards Oaxaca de Juárez. Follow the main road, which is the Carretera 190, until you reach the city. As you approach the city, look for signs directing you towards the Centro area. Once you are in the Centro district, continue on Av. de la Independencia. TEATRO MACEDONIO ALCALÁ will be located at 900 Av. de la Independencia. There is limited street parking available, so plan to arrive early or consider using paid parking lots in the vicinity.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, look for a local bus or colectivo that heads to Oaxaca de Juárez. Most buses will have signs indicating their destination. Once you arrive at the main bus terminal in Oaxaca, you can either walk or take a short taxi ride to the theater. If walking, head north on Calle 5 de Febrero, turn right onto Av. de la Independencia, and continue until you reach TEATRO MACEDONIO ALCALÁ at 900 Av. de la Independencia. Expect to pay around 10-30 MXN for the bus fare, and around 50-100 MXN for a taxi from the bus terminal.
