Getting There

Water Taxi
To get to Playa las Animas, start at the Puerto Vallarta Malecon, which is easily accessible from many hotels and tourist areas. Head towards the Los Muertos Pier, located at the southern end of the Malecon. Once at the pier, look for the ticket booth for water taxis. Purchase your ticket to Playa las Animas. The water taxi ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes, offering beautiful views along the way. Upon arrival at Playa las Animas, you'll be greeted by the beach and various dining options.

From the center of Puerto Vallarta, take a public bus heading south towards Boca de Tomatlan. Buses run frequently along the main highway and cost only a few pesos. Get off at Boca de Tomatlan, which is about a 30-minute ride. From Boca de Tomatlan, you can either walk along the scenic coastal trail to Playa las Animas, which takes about 45 minutes, or you can take a small boat from Boca de Tomatlan directly to the beach.
