Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car in Terelj National Park, start from the main entrance of the park. Follow the main road (known as the Terelj Road) for approximately 10 kilometers. Look for signs indicating Aryabal Buddhist Temple. You will need to turn off the main road onto a smaller gravel road that leads directly to the temple. There is a parking area available close to the temple. Note that there may be a small entrance fee for parking, typically around 1,000 MNT.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Aryabal Buddhist Temple using public transportation, take a minibus (known as a 'marshrutka') from Ulaanbaatar to Terelj National Park. The bus departs from the 'Daramd' bus station in Ulaanbaatar. The fare is about 3,000 MNT. Once you arrive at the park entrance, you can either hire a taxi or look for shared rides that can take you closer to the temple. The taxi fare may range from 5,000 to 10,000 MNT depending on the distance. Make sure to communicate clearly that you want to go to Aryabal Temple.

• Walking

  If you are already in Terelj National Park and prefer to walk, from the main road, look for the marked trail that leads to Aryabal Temple. The hike is approximately 2 kilometers and will take about 30-40 minutes. The path is well-maintained but can be steep in places, so wear comfortable walking shoes. Keep an eye out for directional signs along the way that guide you to the temple.
