Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, head towards the Essaouira city center. From the main road (N1), take the exit towards Essaouira and follow the signs to the medina. As you approach the medina, look for parking options nearby, as driving inside the medina is restricted. There are several parking lots available where you can park your car for a small fee (typically around 10 MAD for a few hours). Once parked, walk towards the medina, and head to Avenue Oqba Ibn Nafiaa, where the Horloge d'Essaouira is located.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, you can take a bus or a shared taxi from nearby towns or cities. If you're coming from Marrakech, you can catch a bus at the bus station to Essaouira. Once you arrive at the Essaouira bus station, you can either take a local taxi or walk to the medina. The medina is about a 15-20 minute walk from the bus station. Head towards the entrance of the medina and follow the main streets until you reach Avenue Oqba Ibn Nafiaa. The Horloge d'Essaouira is located on this avenue.

• Walking

  If you are already within the medina, you can easily walk to the Horloge d'Essaouira. From the main square (Place Moulay Hassan), head towards the entrance of the medina. Follow the winding streets and ask locals for directions to Avenue Oqba Ibn Nafiaa. The landmark is well-known, so don’t hesitate to ask for help. It should take about 10 minutes on foot from the main square.
