Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving to Nagarkot Waterfall, start your journey from Kathmandu. Take the Araniko Highway (also known as the Kathmandu-Lhasa Highway) towards Bhaktapur. After approximately 12 km, take a left turn onto the Nagarkot road. Continue on this road for about 20 km until you reach Nagarkot. Once in Nagarkot, look for signs directing you to the waterfall. You may need to park your car at a designated parking area and walk approximately 15-20 minutes through a small trail leading to the waterfall.

• Public Transportation

  From Kathmandu, head to the New Bus Park in Gongabu. Look for buses heading to Nagarkot. The fare is usually around NPR 200-300. The journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Nagarkot, you will need to walk to the waterfall. Follow the main road and look for local signs or ask locals for directions. The walk to the waterfall takes approximately 30-40 minutes.

• Taxi

  You can hire a taxi from Kathmandu directly to Nagarkot for a more comfortable and faster journey. The taxi fare can range from NPR 2500 to NPR 3500, depending on negotiation and traffic conditions. Upon reaching Nagarkot, you may need to ask the driver to drop you off at a point close to the waterfall, as some areas might require walking.

• Trekking

  For those looking for an adventure, you can trek to Nagarkot Waterfall. Start from the town of Nagarkot, where several trekking paths are available. Follow the trail marked towards the waterfall. The trek is scenic but can be steep, so ensure you wear appropriate shoes and carry water. The trek will take about 1 to 1.5 hours depending on your pace.
