Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start by getting onto the New Jersey Turnpike (I-95) and head towards Exit 68 for the Palisades Interstate Parkway. Follow the signs for the Palisades Interstate Parkway North. Continue on the parkway for approximately 20 miles, then take Exit 2 for Alpine. After exiting, turn left onto Closter Dock Road. Follow this road until you reach the entrance of the Palisades Interstate Park. Once inside, follow the signs towards the Women's Federation Monument. There is no entrance fee for the park, but be aware that parking may be limited.

• Public Transportation

  To reach the Women's Federation Monument by public transportation, take a NJ Transit train to the nearest station, which is the Hoboken Terminal. From Hoboken, transfer to a NJ Transit bus (Route 156 or 154) heading towards the Palisades Interstate Park. Disembark at the Alpine Pavilion stop. From there, you can either walk approximately 1.5 miles along paved paths or take a short taxi ride to the monument. Be sure to check the NJ Transit website for current schedules and fares, which can vary.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike in the nearby town of Fort Lee. Head towards the George Washington Bridge and cross into the Palisades Interstate Park. Once across the bridge, follow the park roads leading towards the Women's Federation Monument. Ensure you wear a helmet and are aware of the park's biking regulations. There is no fee to enter the park, but bike rentals may incur costs, typically ranging from $15 to $30 per day.
