Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start from any location in the Chihuahuan Desert and head towards Willcox, Arizona. Use a GPS device or a maps application on your smartphone. Enter '12856 East Rhyolite Creek Road, Willcox, AZ 85643' as your destination to reach the entrance of Chiricahua National Monument. Upon arriving, you will find the entrance located along Rhyolite Creek Road. Please note that there may be a vehicle entrance fee, typically around $10 per vehicle, valid for up to 7 days.

• Public Transportation to Willcox

  If you prefer public transportation, check for bus services that operate in the region, such as Greyhound or local transit options that can take you to Willcox, Arizona. Once you arrive in Willcox, you may need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to cover the remaining distance to the monument, as public transportation options may be limited. Expect taxi fares to vary, but budget around $20-$30 for a short ride to the monument.

• Bicycle

  For the more adventurous, consider cycling to Chiricahua National Monument. If you're already in Willcox, take East Rhyolite Creek Road directly to the monument. This route is approximately 8 miles and is suitable for experienced cyclists. Ensure you have plenty of water and check the weather conditions before setting out.

• Walking

  If you are already at a nearby campsite or lodging that is within walking distance, follow the local trails or roads leading to the monument. Ensure you are well-prepared for a longer hike, and bring necessary supplies including water, snacks, and a map. Walking from Willcox to the monument is not recommended due to the distance and lack of pedestrian paths.
