If you're in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, head south to reach Lincoln National Forest. Take NM-68 S towards Española, then merge onto US-285 S. Continue on US-285 S until you reach NM-82 E in the vicinity of Artesia. Take NM-82 E towards Alamogordo. As you approach Alamogordo, take a right onto Las Palomas Rd. Lincoln National Forest will be located at 3463 Las Palomas Rd, Alamogordo, NM 88310. Note that parking is available on-site.
