Bus
To reach the Christchurch Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre from the central bus station (Christchurch Bus Interchange), board the 'Blue Line' bus heading towards Lyttelton. Get off at the 'Rolleston Avenue' stop. From there, walk east along Rolleston Avenue for about 5 minutes, and you will arrive at the Visitor Centre, which is situated at the entrance of the Botanic Gardens.

If you are near Cathedral Square, start walking towards Hereford Street. Continue straight until you reach Victoria Square and cross the bridge over the Avon River. Follow the path along the river, which will take you to the entrance of the Botanic Gardens. The Christchurch Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre is located on Rolleston Avenue, just a short walk further into the gardens.

From the Christchurch City Centre, board the Christchurch Tram at any tram stop. Make sure to get on a tram heading towards the Botanic Gardens. The tram ride will take you directly to the Botanic Gardens stop. Once you disembark, walk towards Rolleston Avenue, and the Visitor Centre will be right at the entrance of the gardens.
