From Fox Glacier, head south on State Highway 6 (SH6) for about 25 kilometers. Follow the signs for Okarito. Once you reach Okarito, turn onto Russell Street. The Okarito Trig Walk starts from the car park at the end of Russell Street. There is no cost for parking.

Catch a bus from Fox Glacier to Okarito. The bus service is limited, so check the schedule in advance. Once you arrive in Okarito, walk along Russell Street until you reach the car park at the end of the street where the Okarito Trig Walk begins. Note that bus fares may vary, typically around NZD 10-15.
