If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Kerikeri. Head south on State Highway 10 towards Mangonui. After approximately 30 km, turn left onto Coopers Beach Road. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rangikapiti Road. Turn right onto Rangikapiti Road, and follow the signs to the Rangikapiti Pa Historic Reserve located at Coopers Beach 0420. There is no entry fee to the reserve.

To reach Rangikapiti Pa Historic Reserve using public transportation, take a bus from Whangarei or Kerikeri to Mangonui. Once in Mangonui, you may need to catch a local taxi or rideshare service to Coopers Beach. The fare for the taxi will vary but expect to pay around NZD 20-30 for the short trip. After arriving at Coopers Beach, follow the local signs to Rangikapiti Pa Historic Reserve, which is a short walk from the beach.
