Car
From Punakaiki, drive south on State Highway 6 (SH6) for approximately 25 kilometers until you reach Greymouth. As you approach Greymouth, keep an eye out for signs directing you towards Cobden. Turn left onto Cobden Road and continue for about 2 kilometers. Look for the Cobden Cave sign on your right. You can park in the designated car park near the cave entrance, which is just a 5-minute walk from there.

Public Transportation
If you're using public transportation, catch a bus from Punakaiki to Greymouth. Most services will take you directly to the Greymouth bus station. Once in Greymouth, you can either take a taxi or walk approximately 3 kilometers to Cobden Cave. To walk, head west on Mawhera Quay, cross the bridge, and follow Cobden Road until you reach the cave entrance. The total journey may take around 40 minutes on foot.

If you're already in the Cobden area, you can reach Cobden Cave on foot. From the town center of Cobden, head towards Cobden Road. Follow the road until you see the signs for the cave. The walk is scenic and well-marked, taking approximately 15-20 minutes from central Cobden.
