Car
If you are driving from downtown Asheville, head southwest on Biltmore Ave toward US-25 S. Merge onto US-25 S and continue for about 5 miles. Take the exit onto I-40 E toward Hickory. After about 10 miles, take exit 53A for US-276 S toward Brevard. Continue on US-276 S for approximately 15 miles. You will see signs for Sliding Rock. The attraction will be on your right side, just past the entrance to Pisgah National Forest.

To reach Sliding Rock via public transportation, start by taking the ART bus route 1 from downtown Asheville towards the River Arts District. Get off at the stop nearest to the Asheville Transit Center. From there, you will need to transfer to the 470 bus towards Brevard. Confirm with the driver that this bus will stop near Sliding Rock, as some may not. Once you arrive at the nearest stop, you can either walk or arrange a ride-sharing service to reach Sliding Rock, which is about a 1.5-mile distance from the bus stop.
