Getting There

Car

If you are traveling by car, start your journey in Geiranger village. From the center of Geiranger, head north on the E136 road. After approximately 3 kilometers, you will see signs for Skageflå. Turn left onto the road that leads towards Skageflå, which will take you into the hills. Please note that the access road is steep and winding, so drive with caution. There is limited parking available at the trailhead where you will begin your hike to Skageflå.
Hiking

Once you have parked your car at the trailhead, you will need to hike to Skageflå. The hike is approximately 1.5 kilometers (0.9 miles) and takes about 30-45 minutes, depending on your fitness level. The trail is well-marked but can be steep in some areas, so wear appropriate footwear. Along the way, you will be rewarded with stunning views of the Geirangerfjord.
Public Transportation

If you prefer to use public transportation, check the local bus schedule for routes that service Geiranger. Once you arrive in Geiranger, you will need to either walk to the trailhead or take a taxi, as public transport does not go directly to Skageflå. The taxi ride from the bus stop in Geiranger to the trailhead will take around 10 minutes and costs approximately NOK 200-300.
Boat

An alternative way to approach Skageflå is by taking a sightseeing boat from Geiranger. Many boat tours operate in the fjord and some offer drop-off services near the base of Skageflå.
