    If you are traveling by car, start by getting onto I-78 E from your current location in South Central Pennsylvania. Follow I-78 E for approximately 20 miles until you reach exit 40 for PA-61 N toward Pottsville. Merge onto PA-61 N and continue for about 8 miles. Take the exit for PA-895 E toward New Ringgold, and then follow PA-895 E for approximately 9 miles. Finally, turn left onto Hawk Mountain Rd and follow it for about 2 miles until you reach Hawk Mountain Sanctuary at 1700 Hawk Mountain Rd, Kempton, PA 19529. Note that there is a parking fee of $10 per car for non-members.

  • Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, take a Greyhound or Megabus to Allentown, PA. From Allentown, you can catch a local bus (LANTA) to the nearest town, which is Kempton. Once in Kempton, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, as public transport does not go directly to the sanctuary. It's advisable to check the bus schedules ahead of time and ensure you have a rideshare app downloaded for convenience. Expect to spend around $30-$60 for the taxi/rideshare from Kempton to the sanctuary.
