Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Gettysburg National Military Park Visitor Center, exit the center and head east on Taneytown Road. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Hancock Avenue. Turn left onto Hancock Avenue. The State of Pennsylvania Monument will be on your right at 350 Hancock Ave. It's approximately a 15-minute walk from the Visitor Center.

    From the Gettysburg Square (Lincoln Square), head north on Baltimore Street. After about 0.4 miles, turn right onto Steinwehr Avenue. Follow Steinwehr Avenue as it curves and becomes Hancock Avenue. Continue straight for another 0.3 miles, and the State of Pennsylvania Monument will be on your left at 350 Hancock Ave. This walk will take around 15-20 minutes.

  • Walking

    If you are near the Gettysburg Battlefield, walk towards the Eternal Light Peace Memorial located at the north end of Cemetery Ridge. From there, head southeast along the path that leads to Hancock Avenue. Continue straight, and the State of Pennsylvania Monument will be on your right at 350 Hancock Ave. This route should take about 10 minutes.
