Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards the A1 motorway. Take the exit for A11 towards Braga. Continue on the A11 until you reach the exit for Braga. Follow signs for Braga Centro. Once you are in the city center, look for signs pointing to Praça do Município. The Braga City Hall is located at Praça do Município, 4700-435 Braga. There is limited street parking available, so be prepared to find a nearby parking garage if necessary. Parking may incur costs of around €1-€2 per hour.

• Public Transportation - Train

  For those taking public transportation, you can catch a train from Beira Alta to Braga. Trains typically run frequently throughout the day. Once you arrive at Braga train station, exit the station and head towards Avenida da Liberdade. From there, you can either walk to Praça do Município (approximately 15-20 minutes) or take a local bus. If you choose to walk, continue straight on Avenida da Liberdade until you reach the main square. If opting for the bus, look for bus lines that connect to the city center and disembark at Praça do Município.

  You can also use intercity buses to reach Braga. Check the local bus schedule for departures from Beira Alta to Braga. Upon arrival at the Braga bus terminal, you can walk to Praça do Município in about 10-15 minutes. Head northeast on Avenida da Liberdade and continue until you reach the square. Alternatively, local buses are available to take you directly to the city center, but confirm the route with the driver or at the terminal.
