Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start by heading towards Cascais. From Lisbon, take the A5 motorway, which will lead you directly towards Cascais. Once you arrive in Cascais, follow the signs for the Guincho Beach area. As you approach the coast, look for the signs directing you to the Guia Lighthouse, located near the cliffs. There is limited parking available near the lighthouse, so be prepared to walk a short distance.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take the train from Lisbon to Cascais. The trains depart from Cais do Sodré station and run frequently (approximately every 20 minutes). Once you arrive in Cascais, exit the train station and catch a local bus (Bus 403 towards Malveira da Serra) or a taxi to reach the Guia Lighthouse. If you choose the bus, you will need to get off at the nearest stop and walk for about 15 minutes to reach the lighthouse.

• Walking

  If you are already in Cascais, the Guia Lighthouse is accessible by walking. From the center of Cascais, head northwest towards the coast, following the Rua do Poço Velho. Continue on this road until you reach the coastal path. Follow the coastal path along the cliffs, and you will eventually arrive at the Guia Lighthouse. This scenic route takes about 30-45 minutes, depending on your pace.
