From any location in Bayamón, head to the nearest bus stop. Look for the bus route that goes towards Río Grande. You can catch the bus number 53 or 54 heading east. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the next departure time. After approximately 30-40 minutes, you will arrive at the bus stop near El Portal de El Yunque Visitor Center. Once you get off, walk towards PR-191, and you will see the visitor center ahead.

If you prefer a quicker route, you can call a taxi or use a rideshare service like Uber. Simply input 'El Portal de El Yunque Visitor Center, PR-191, Río Grande' as your destination. The drive should take around 30 minutes from central Bayamón, depending on traffic conditions. The driver will drop you off right in front of the visitor center.

If you are feeling adventurous and are close to the visitor center, you could consider walking, though it would be quite a long trek. From the center of Bayamón, head northeast towards PR-2 and follow it until you reach the intersection with PR-191. Follow PR-191, and after approximately 10 km, you will arrive at El Portal de El Yunque Visitor Center. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated!
