Walking
If you are in Luquillo, start by heading east on PR-3. Walk towards the town of Fajardo, which is approximately 6 miles away. You can follow the sidewalk along the road. Be sure to stay on the right side of the road for safety. As you approach Fajardo, you will see signs indicating the direction to Cayos de la Cordillera Nature Reserve. Once you reach the intersection with Route 987, turn right. Continue straight until you see the entrance to the nature reserve, which is located at 89QJ+2X, Fajardo, 00738.

Public Bus
From Luquillo, find the nearest bus stop along PR-3. Look for the public bus marked 'Caguas/Fajardo.' Board the bus and pay the fare (usually around $1.50). Inform the driver that you want to go to Cayos de la Cordillera Nature Reserve or the closest stop to it. The bus will take you to Fajardo in about 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive in Fajardo, walk east towards Route 987, and follow the directions for walking as described above to reach the reserve.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, you can cycle from Luquillo to Fajardo. Start by heading east on PR-3, where you can find bike lanes in some sections. Continue straight for about 6 miles. After reaching the intersection with Route 987, turn right and continue until you reach the entrance to Cayos de la Cordillera Nature Reserve at 89QJ+2X, Fajardo, 00738. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow all traffic rules for safety.
