To reach Jobos Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve from the center of Ponce, head to the nearest bus stop. You can take the 'Ponce to Guayama' bus (Bus number 10). Ensure to ask the driver if they stop at Jobos Bay or near the reserve. The bus will take you along Route 2. Once you get off the bus, you may need to walk about 1 mile toward the reserve. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions, as the area is not heavily populated.

Bicycle Rental
If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Ponce. Once you have your bike, head towards Route 2, following the signs that guide you towards the south. The ride to Jobos Bay is about 7 miles, so be prepared for a scenic ride. Make sure to take the road that leads directly toward the bay and follow the coastal views. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to the reserve.

If you're feeling adventurous and up for a long walk, you can head south from central Ponce. Start at Plaza Las Delicias and walk towards Avenida Las Americas. Continue straight until you reach Route 2, then follow the road signs directing you south towards Jobos Bay. Note that this is a long trek (approximately 7 miles), so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
