Getting There

• Public Bus

Once on the bus, inform the driver that you are headed to Al Dhakira, as they can guide you on when to alight. The journey should take approximately 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. Get off at the stop closest to the location PHW2+RP4, Al Dhakira. From the bus stop, walk towards the mangroves, following any signs that might direct you to the nature preserve.

  If you are already in Umm Salal and prefer to walk, head towards the main roads leading to Al Dhakira. Make your way to the Al Dhakira Road, which is a primary route leading to the mangroves. Once you reach Al Dhakira, follow any signs that lead you to the mangroves area. The final approach to the mangroves may require navigating through some natural trails, so be cautious and enjoy the scenic views.

  For a more active approach, consider renting a bicycle in Umm Salal. Look for local rental shops that offer bicycles for tourists. Once you have your bike, head towards Al Dhakira by following the main routes. Use Al Dhakira Road for a more direct route. The ride should take around 30-60 minutes depending on your speed. Be mindful of traffic and ensure you wear a helmet. Upon reaching Al Dhakira, lock your bike at a safe location and walk towards the mangroves to explore the area.
