Getting There

  • Car

    From the center of Highveld, head northwest on the R28 highway. Continue on the R28 for about 20 km until you reach the intersection with the N14 highway. Merge onto the N14 highway and drive for approximately 10 km. Take the exit towards R563/Kromdraai Road and merge onto R563. After about 2 km, you will see signs for Bothongo Rhino & Lion Nature Reserve on your left. The reserve is located at 520 Kromdraai Road, Kromdraai, Krugersdorp, 1739. There is an entrance fee of approximately R200 per adult.

    From Highveld, take a taxi or bus to Krugersdorp. Once in Krugersdorp, locate the local taxi rank and catch a taxi heading towards Kromdraai. Ensure you confirm with the driver that they will drop you off at the Bothongo Rhino & Lion Nature Reserve. The fare should be around R30. The total travel time will be approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on wait times and traffic. After arriving at the reserve, there is an entrance fee of approximately R200 per adult.
