If you are driving from central Piedmont, head northwest on SC-86 N toward E Main St. Continue for about 5 miles, which will lead you to the I-85 N on-ramp. Merge onto I-85 N and drive for approximately 8 miles. Take exit 51 for SC-183 toward Greenville. Merge onto SC-183 N, and then take the exit for Airport Rd. Ext. Continue on Airport Rd. Ext for about 1 mile, and the Military History Center of the Carolinas will be on your right, at 14 Airport Rd Ext, Greenville, SC 29607. Parking is available on-site free of charge.

For public transportation, you may need to take a bus to the nearest transit hub. Start by taking the local bus from Piedmont to downtown Greenville. From downtown, transfer to the Greenlink Bus Line 2 (Greenville - Airport route). This bus will take you directly to the Airport Rd area. The fare is approximately $1.50 for a single ride. Once you arrive at the Airport Rd stop, the Military History Center of the Carolinas is a short walk (about 0.5 miles) to the southeast. Follow Airport Rd Ext until you see the center on your right at 14 Airport Rd Ext, Greenville, SC 29607.
