Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, you can start your journey from Santiago de Compostela. Take the AP-9 highway towards Pontevedra and follow signs for the A-6 towards Madrid. After approximately 400 km, take exit 47 toward N-603. Continue on N-603 for about 20 km until you reach Puerto de Navacerrada, located in the Segovia region. There is parking available at the pass, but be aware that it can fill up quickly during peak seasons.

• Bus

  To reach Puerto de Navacerrada using public transportation, you can take a bus from Madrid. Head to the Estación de Autobuses de Moncloa, where you can find buses heading to Cercedilla. The bus journey takes about 1 hour and costs approximately €4-€6. Once you arrive in Cercedilla, you can transfer to a local bus or taxi that will take you directly to Puerto de Navacerrada, which is about a 15-minute ride away.

• Train and Bus

  Another option is to take a train from Madrid to Cercedilla. From the Atocha or Chamartín train stations in Madrid, you can catch a Cercanías train (Line C-8) to Cercedilla. The train ride takes about 50 minutes and costs around €5. Once in Cercedilla, you can catch a bus or taxi to Puerto de Navacerrada, which is approximately a 15-minute drive.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Cercedilla to Puerto de Navacerrada. This option is convenient if you have luggage or prefer not to navigate public transport. The taxi fare may range from €15 to €25, depending on the time of day and traffic conditions.
