If you're traveling by car, begin your journey from any location within the Canary Islands by taking a flight to Madrid. Once you land at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport, rent a car from one of the numerous rental services available at the airport. Drive towards the A-2 highway towards Madrid city center. Follow signs for A-2 and then merge onto M-30. Take exit 14 towards C. de Alcalá and continue straight until you reach C. de Alcalá, 49. To reach the Cervantes Institute using public transportation, first take a flight to Madrid from the Canary Islands. Upon arrival at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport, use the Metro Line 8 (pink line) towards Nuevos Ministerios. At Nuevos Ministerios, transfer to Line 10 (dark blue line) and travel towards Puerta del Sur. Get off at the Tribunal station, where you will switch to Line 1 (light blue line) towards Valdecarros. Get off at the Gran Vía station. From there, it’s about a 10-minute walk.
