Getting There

Car
If you are driving, head towards the city center of Madrid. Use the M-30 ring road to approach the area. Take the exit towards Puente de Segovia and follow signs for the city center. Look for parking options nearby, such as Plaza de Oriente parking garage, as street parking can be limited. Once parked, it's a short 5-minute walk to the Royal Palace. Head east on Calle de Bailén, and you will see the palace directly ahead.

Metro
To reach the Royal Palace by metro, take Line 5 (green line) and get off at the 'Opera' station. From there, exit the station and head west on Calle de la Opera. Continue straight until you reach the Plaza de Oriente, then walk south to find the entrance to the Royal Palace. The entire walk takes about 10 minutes.

Bus
You can take several bus lines to get to the Royal Palace. Lines 3, 25, 39, and 148 all stop nearby. If you’re near Gran Vía, catch the number 3 bus towards Plaza de España and get off at the 'Plaza de Oriente' stop. The palace will be a short walk from there. Follow the signs pointing towards the palace, which is directly across the square.

If you are already in the vicinity of the city center, the Royal Palace is easily accessible on foot. From Plaza Mayor, walk northwest towards Calle de Bailén. The palace will be on your left after about a 10-minute walk. Alternatively, if you are near the Almudena Cathedral, the palace is just a few steps away to the west.
