If you're traveling by car, start from Hambantota town center. Head southeast on Main Street (A2) towards the B424 road. Continue on the A2 for approximately 15 kilometers, then turn left onto the B424. Drive for about 5 kilometers until you reach the entrance of Wirawila Lake. There is no entrance fee for the lake.
