    If you're traveling by car, start from Hambantota town center. Head southeast on Main Street (A2) towards the B424 road. Continue on the A2 for approximately 15 kilometers, then turn left onto the B424. Drive for about 5 kilometers until you reach the entrance of Wirawila Lake. There is no entrance fee for the lake.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Wirawila Lake via public transportation, first take a bus from Hambantota bus station heading towards Tissamaharama. Buses are frequent and the fare is around 40 LKR. Request the conductor to drop you off at Wirawila Junction. From there, you can either walk or hire a tuk-tuk for about 300 LKR to reach the lake, which is approximately 3 kilometers away.
