Getting There

  • Tuk-Tuk

    From the Matara Bus Station, head to the main road. Look for a tuk-tuk stand nearby. You can negotiate the fare with the driver. Inform them that you want to go to Dickwella Beach, which is approximately 20 kilometers away. The ride will take around 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will take you directly to the beach entrance.

    From Matara, walk to the main bus station. Look for buses heading towards Dikwella or Dickwella. The bus ride will take about 40 minutes. Get off at the Dikwella junction. From there, you can either walk (approximately 1 km) or catch a tuk-tuk to Dickwella Beach. If walking, head down Beliatta New Road, and keep an eye out for signs directing you to the beach.
