From the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, head northeast on the A1 highway (Kandy - Colombo Road) for about 2.5 km. Look for the sign for Kumbukwewa and turn left onto the road. Drive for approximately 3.5 km until you reach the location marked JC95+GG, Kumbukwewa. There is limited parking available near the ponds, so be prepared to walk the last few meters.
